Drafting/Engineering students tour UMO College of Engineering
On Thursday Sept 13th Mr. Harper’s Drafting & Engineering Technology students toured the University of Maine at Orono Engineering Technology programs. The students visited and learned about a variety of programs including Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, and Survey Engineering Technology. In addition, they also toured the Advanced Manufacturing facility and the Advanced Composite Center. Several graduates of the PIRCTC Drafting & Engineering Technology program joined the group for lunch including Andrew Kirk (Sophomore, Mechanical Engineering), Sam Hebert (Freshman, Pre-Engineering), Adam Patterson (Freshman, Mechanical Engineering). After touring the Advanced Composite Center, the group was given a tour of the UMO 3D printing club’s facility by Brad Guerrette. Brad is another graduate of Mr. Harper’s program and is completing his fourth and final year at UMO in Mechanical Engineering. Special thanks to Scott Dunning and Sheila Pendse and all the UMO faculty and staff for hosting our students.
